Yesterday was the first twenty four hours. It was by far the hardest thing in the world not to call or text. I almost called the store...just cause. Thankfully work proved to be very distracting and I was able to distract myself further by hanging out after work.
Last night the boys had a show at Ray's which I hit up as soon as I left worky-work. I roamed around before the show and saw a bunch of people I hadn't seen in like a year. Not since the good ol' ZKrew days. The guys were really great and I think much better than their last Ray's show. I went up. No big whoop. I think we're going to have to stop doing Table Top. It's kind of played out now and they have much better songs they could end on. After the set, because I'm this kind of sap, I looked around to see if she'd decided to come like she was planning. No dice.
Ryan came over after and we talked about stupid shit (I want to make a sci-fi movie based on Grizzly Man. Two words brought together by a hyphen: ware-bear) and I showed him some new stuff Shael and I had been working on and some of the finished tracks for Rolling Doubles. Ryan had to run home before hitting up Lacey's since her and Al stayed to check out Mister Orange. Tuna and I had a talk about him not wanting me to reform back to horrible roommate Beefy and I told him I had thought about that and that the last few days have been shitty but I just need to let some things happen and I'll be back to normal. I'm not going to lie to you, I beat up on myself in times of weakness and I become a wreck. But soon I'll stop feeling sorry for myself and clean up a bit. It's really very nice knowing Tunes always has my back and he very much cares how I'm doing. I picked a great guy to move in with.
So after making out with Tuna, I hop over to Lacey and Al's to hangout. Ryan was there already on account that I stopped at Taco Bell. Ryan and I WAY geek out over movies and we talk of how nice it would be to hangout at an OR beach and have a fire with Al playing guitar. Honest to god it sounds fun. Went home, watched some West Wing, and crashed out. Now I'm trying to decide what to do today since I am without work. I figure it's clean up time. I made it though the first day, which in my recent experience with quitting things cold turkey is the hardest day, so I figure today would make for a good clean up day. My room is a wreck and I still haven't hung all of my posters. Trash. Laundry. Hell, I might even do the dishes. Don't quote me on that though. Mind you all of this goes out the window is Tanner signs on with new tracks or, better yet, new beats! Have a great day!
Big day tomorrow. I'm excited. I really should be asleep right now, but I'm not done whoring yet.
My boys in From The Dust are amazing. So much so that I want to steal their music so bad just so I can make remixes with them. It is because of this I've felt the need to add vocals to an otherwise already complete and all around fantastic song, just because I dug it and wanted to be involved with it somehow. So without further delay I present to you a beefier version of a From The Dust track.
So I saw something pretty cool on Dan's vox today:
It's not super amazing, but it's pretty cool to be in print media. I care who you are. The picture is from when the lot of us went to the San Diego Comic Con last summer. Oh how I hated the 24 hour+ bus rides there and back. Never again. For those of you not in the know, the picture features ytcracker, Nursehella, Dan, Sucklord, Ben of The Former Fat Boys, Ultraklystron, and myself. It would seem people are digging Dan's film a bunch. He still hasn't sent me a screener of the finished film, so until he does he's dead to me. Moving on!
So Chandra and I stayed up until 5am again. I think I'm slowly killing this girl. I almost did when she came in and her daughter was wearing a full on Steeler's outfit. If you've forgotten, and if you're a Seahawks fan at all it's impossible, the Steeler's cheated and stole a Superbowl from my motherfucking Seahawks! And being as how I seem to have feathers, and Chandra like to ruffle, it makes for a silly fake unhappiness. Frankly the kid could wear a shirt that said "Beefy Sucks" and I'd still think she was adorable, as well as her mommy. As soon as I can teach Leila to say Beefy I'm putting her on a track!
I'm already late for going over to Chris' for their practice. I kind of don't want to a little. Only because I'm lazy and I don't know what Kevin's going to want to do later. I'm so conflicted. But we might work on a song. We probably won't...but you never know. I wanna do my little rock/rap project so bad but their so busy all the time I might have to find other people who rock but won't fully buy into my vision. My vision must remain intact! I'm out.
Ok, so this is the closest to the deadline that I've come so far in this competition. I'm in my room with my brother and we're listening to me. I love me. He's in town for the funeral we went to today in Wapato, a small town outside of Yakima. I'm not a fan of funerals. My jokes rarely go over very well. Today was no exception. Kevin was all decked out in his Marine dress attire, making him the favorite. Damn his sexy body!
From The Dust did some recording tonight and it was incredible as usual. Turns out my boys can rock out pretty hard in the studio. I'm 99% sure that next week I'm going to try to set up a time where they will go in with me and record our version of Table Top based on Tanner's rock remix, making it technically the third version of the track, and the second rock version. People really seem to dig it at the shows, but I'm so tired of it. It's kind of how they hate performing Watch It Burn but I demand each and every show and practice.
Chandra is on her way over. Always good times. Tuna and Nick are home which means there's a decent chance that some Brawl will be played. If not, maybe Monopoloy or something else. Maybe movie night. So many options! So she's here now and she dressed her daughter up in a Steller's uniform. Clearly this relationship is going to take a whole lot of work.
In closing, try your best to not go to a funeral if you can help it. It's mad depressing. Not only is the person you're there for is not longer with us, but you have to see everyone you love in your family cry. That's no fun. For someone like me at least. Anywho, I hope you're all having a great night and have a nice day.
Was pretty dope.
Random Orbits and From The Dust played last night at Kimo's for one of the most amazing shows I've seen at that place. My love for FTD is well known, but it was like the place was packed with people just like me and Lacey who know and dig every song. And then people lost their shit when I got on stage with them. They've all seen it before. They all know it's coming. And yet all of them were screamimg their lungs out. Mucho fun. We should do it again.
Chandra came, which of course made Beefy smile. She brought Chad and Chad's mom Pam, both of which know how to party. It was pretty wild. After the show Chandra and Lacey started talking and they got along which caused Ryan and I to celebrate. We thought they would get along, but we didn't know for sure. Lacey ended up hugging her in the first ten minutes of actually talking to her. It's good when the women in your life get along! Chandra tried hard to ditch us, but clearly I rocked some top notch puppy dog eyes and conned her into saying she would stop by Al and Lacey's. Ok, I probably didn't have much to do with her decision at all, but a boy can pretend, right?
A&L's involved a lot of drinking and smoking by myself, Al, Lacey, Ryan, Chris, Travis, CP, and Shannon. Chandra had to go and break some other dude's heart (for the record: Chandra is a pimp mack daddy, slapping bitches with her ring hand. I have no shot.) and then showed up. We really haven't had everyone all together in such a long time that I really enjoyed it. Apples 2 Apples was played with strip rules and me and Travis got to see too much of the crack of Ryan's ass, and Lacey ended up losing all of the clothes from the waist up...and most of them below. I think it was just an excuse to show off her tattoos. People went home, Al passed out on the floor, Ryan slept in Al's bed, and I crashed out on the couch. This morning I rolled out of the couch and realized I left my Amazon badges at home, so instead of almost being able to walk to work if I wanted, I had to drive back to Richland then back to Kennewick. And now I've been sitting on my ass for four and a half hours so far, txting Chandra, doodling, and taking a call or two.
So, how was your night?
I get excited for new projects. To make a long story short I already have my next album planned. And what I say "planned" I don't mean I just plan on making a new solo album, but I mean I already have every song plotted out. Slightly concept-y, but very original in the nerdcore scene. I plan on doing big things with it.
Tanner said he has time to work on the album Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If there is a god, we'll have a mastered album in a matter of days. But being as I'm agnostic, I'm not holding out much hope. Tanner is a way busy dude. To the max.
I've re-fallen in love with Arrested Development. I recently reopened my Netflix account and checked out the first two disks of season two and I just finished both disks. I originally rented AD for the purpose of catching Ryan up on the show, but then I figured fuck it, I'm bored and in need of entertainment now!
My boys From The Dust had a show last night. The guys were great but sadly there just wasn't an audience tonight. Fickle ass Kennewick drunks. You really never know when the kids will decide to be out. Chandra came to the show too which was good because I am in love with her and will make her my wife. I'm going to make that official right here on this blog. So Chandra, if you're reading this five years in the future I have a message for you: I called it! Now let's make some dinner and maybe we can play the new Playstation Wii60!
Ok, so I've dropped some album info and left a time message for my wife in 2013. I'd say this was a pretty decent post.
